Overview:
- Performs the standard expectations and duties of a Mercy Security Officer, including (but not limited to) responding to requests for assistance; securing areas and property; answering phone calls; responding to threats in accordance with training and tool assignment; leading or participating in various investigations; providing assistance in response to customer requests; patrolling the hospital buildings, grounds, and parking areas; checking and securing entrances and areas; documenting calls in Report Exec accounting for priority, events, details.
- Participates in Emergency Management training, drills, and events; may be assigned responsibility for program.
- Completion of Performance Evaluations in AoS.
- Participate in budgetary development process.
- Where assigned, responsible for oversight of equipment and vehicles; department education and training.
- Oversight of mechanical/electronic security systems.
- Participate in ongoing Site Security Risk Assessments as designated by Manager/Director.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Licensure: Missouri Class E chauffer's license. St. Louis City/County
Security Officer License
Experience: At least two years ecperience in Security, Law Enforcement,
Corrections, or Military Police. At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Certification/Registration: IAHSS certification
Training Requirement - Same as Security Officer III, or equivalent qualifications determined by Director and/or Vice President.
PREFERRED
Education: Associates Degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or
other related areas of experience
Experience: Hospital Security Shift Supervision
