What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor-Patient Access position at MercyOne?
Assists the Clinic Administrator in overseeing functions of Patient Access at job specific Medical Group locations. The functions include the coordination of registration/scheduling/telephone services at these locations as well as designated locations in all service areas. Provides orientation and ongoing training to staff relating to these functions. Performs QI/QA activities relating to Patient Access. Interviews, selects, and hires Patient Access staff. Conducts processing of the biweekly payroll. Schedules and coordinates all staffing requirements Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.
Requirements:High language, intermediate math, high reasoning ability.
- Personal computer, spreadsheet, MS Word.
- Strong computer skills, windows experience. Database software, mainframe information systems
- Ability to convey positive image and communicate tactfully and professionally with staff, patients and regulations.
- Ability to articulate system policies and regulations.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people and to work under pressure
