GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Customer Account Specialist (CAS) position is responsible for monitoring activities associated with customer orders and timelines. The CAS is responsible for answering incoming calls, providing customer support, communicating order status to internal/external customers, resolving customer issues and providing excellent customer service. The CAS will act as a liaison between internal departments including Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain related departments to ensure the consistent, cost-effective supply of products to contract customers. The CAS will manage and resolve inquiries related to customer purchase orders and inventories. The CAS reports directly to the Customer Account Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• Service customers in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.
• Answer incoming phone calls and e-mails and provide support to meet the needs of the Customer Account team, customers, and MeriCal departments.
• Monitor activities associated with orders and inventory for MeriCal customers.
• Communicate effectively order status, order requirements and order lifecycle to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain related departments to ensure all customer demands, requirements and inventory needs are met.
• Address all customer issues in a timely manner by being the customer liaison to manufacturing, quality, shipping and accounts receivable.
• Process customer Purchase Orders.
• Monitor inventory levels, requirements and pending shipments.
• Collaborate with Planning to get production work orders entered and collaborate with procurement for component inventory levels.
• Oversee the timeliness of production orders and the shipping of finished goods.
• Must be proficient in math to include fractions conversions, decimals, degrees and basic math is a must.
• Participate in daily or weekly operations meetings by being the face of the customer to ensure that order requirements (due dates, quantities, and order priorities are being met.
• Builds and maintain business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service so as to promote customer loyalty.
• Respond to questions and complaints from customers
• Some travel between buildings is required
• You may be based out of Utah
• This job requires you to be onsite
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a customer service role or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Positive attitude and excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Prior experience in the vitamin category or a related industry such as food or pharmacy
• Ability to work with strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
• Superb problem-solving skills along with the ability to “think outside the box” to streamline tasks and processes necessary to support customer and production needs.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience in Sage, Batch Master, and/or Mas 500 a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred, but not required.
