The director is responsible for managing the accounts payable and authorization of services processes for all companies and programs within the organization. This role communications and works with various state agencies and program directors to implement new programs and expand existing services. In this role, the director provides leadership to a department of 13 team members and directly manages 3 supervisor positions.
Wage: Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package to include paid volunteer time.
Schedule: FT Mon-Fri
Location: The position is located in Golden Valley, MN.

Responsibilities:
- Manages the authorization processes for all self-directed programs.
- Manages the goods and services payment processes for all self-directed programs.
- Manages the accounts payable processes for all programs/companies.
- Supervises two Accounts Payable Supervisor and one Fiscal Support Supervisor positions.
- Monitor and manage Morning Sun/Orion ISO reporting and provider web portals.
- Responsible for the timely filing of sales and use tax reporting for all companies.
- Responsible for the timely mailing and filing of annual 1099 reports.
- Monitor uncashed checks and send out quarterly correspondence regarding the unclaimed property.
- Responsible for implementation and analysis of quarterly internal audits.
- Set up, maintain, and continually work to improve internal processes and procedures.
- Works with the management team to implement new programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Must have 3-5 years of job-related experience.
- Minimum 4-year Accounting Degree or related experience.*
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of team members.
- Must possess some knowledge of the field of intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities, its practices and procedures, and the laws, rules, regulations and guidelines pertaining to its operations.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop and implement department missions, goals and objectives; operating policies and procedures; internal management and resource structures; budget operations and allocations; personnel and work force factors.
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
- Must possess proven leadership skills.
- Successful driving record as determined by Orion Associates policy
- Successful clearance of Department of Human Service background study
