General Labourer

SDI is a progressive industrial overhead door manufacturer looking for motivated candidates to add to our warehouse and manufacturing team that can thrive in a fast-paced environment that involves working with and around moving machinery.

The following is a brief overview of the position; however, the employee is expected to assist other staff as required from time to time in various duties as needed.

Perform various labourer/manufacturing assembling duties

Ability to work with hand tools

Use computer for necessary input/output information

Ability to safely operate various saws

Cleaning warehouse/Maintaining a clean and orderly work area

Ensure that equipment is operated safely

Communicating with co-workers by radio

Required Skills

Excellent command of English Language in written and verbal

Moderate Computer Skills

Capable of lifting up to 50 LBS.

Basic math skills (Reading tape measure, etc.)

Strong communication skills and dedication to quality

Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize.

Strong interpersonal, decision making, problem-solving skills

Forklift experience – an asset (Training available)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

  • Monday to Friday

  • Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Forklift Licence (Required)
