We are looking for a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser who brings knowledge and expertise to our growing firm.

What Your Day Will Look Like
The Commercial Real Estate Appraiser is responsible for conducting valuation research and analysis and generating appraisal reports in support of our Appraisal and Valuation practice. In general, you can expect to:
- Perform detailed inspections to determine property use and value commercial/Industrial/Manufacturing properties using modern appraisal techniques
- Perform and understand Highest & Best Use principles and Market trends
- Analyze problems coherently and provide precautionary advice and explanation of values to clients
- Determine damage to remainder and value loss for Condemnation assignments.
- Determine worth of potential major improvements, construction, and/or demolition
- Compile research in detailed reports
- Ensure accuracy and quality of reports and alignment with USPAP
- Defend appealed assessments and attend hearings as required
- Work efficiently with existing staff creating an Appraisal Team.
You’re perfect for this role if you:
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Possess a clear understanding and knowledge of USPAP
- Have strong research and technical writing skills
What You Bring
- Five to seven years of experience appraising and/or reviewing appraisals of various commercial property types
- Experience in real estate, banking, or financial industry
- Bachelor’s degree (required) in Real Estate, Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute
- State Certification for General Real Estate Appraiser’s License required; must be in good standing with state licensing and certification board
