Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise a production department where most
activities are done to close tolerances.
Job Responsibilities:
•Direct employees to meet production requirements.
•Accountable for business results relating to costs, methods, quality and quantity of production.
•Develop skilled workforce through utilization of manufacturing leaders and training programs.
•Plan and layout work, make employee assignments daily.
•Maintain equipment and work areas to meet production requirements and eliminate safety hazards.
•Check material shortages, machine or equipment defects and causes for delays.
•Maintain discipline, morale and personnel relations and adjust primary complaints
•Recommend terminations, transfers, promotions and wage adjustments.
•Complete proper paperwork concerning discipline, attendance and quality.
•Make sure daily time sheets for employees are completed and entered into the time entry system.
•May direct work through Manufacturing Leaders.
•Schedule manpower according to customer orders. Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
• A degree in business/management or 5 years supervisory experience, minimum in a manufacturing setting.
• Possess good communication skills
• Must have demonstrated good leadership skills
• Must be able to teach and assist operators in setting-up and maintaining equipment
• Commitment to Quality Standard TS16949 or any quality systems preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required, with the demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated Interpersonal skills in motivating, directing, listening, counseling, evaluating, and training subordinates
• Demonstrated managerial experience working in a team environment
