What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer -Days position at Meritus Health?
Security Officer
Part time - 32 hours bi weekly
Every Monday and Tuesday 7:30a-4p
Provides a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors, physicians and property, preventing thefts, assaults, injuries, and acts of vandalism, along with the control and enforcement of parking and traffic regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
Experience - Minimum six months prior experience in security preferred.
Licensure/Certification - Possession of a valid driver's license required. International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Certification preferred. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Some knowledge of Security/Law Enforcement practices, good verbal/written skills and abillity to communicate and deal effectively with staff, patients, visitors and physicians.
