Program Manager Process Improvement
Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly, Monday - Friday 0800 - 1600. No weekends
NOT REMOTE - 100% onsite
Under the administrative direction of the Operations Improvement Manager, the Process Improvement Program Manager is responsible for supporting a culture of problem solving that continuously improves quality, cost, and satisfaction. This is done through process improvement initiatives and the utilization of lean tools/concepts, and developing employees to be engaged in performance improvement. Activities include, but are not limited to, development of value stream maps, facilitating employee and leadership training, A3, Toyota Kata, TWI Job Instruction, 3P event facilitation, visual management board development and monitoring, problem solving through PDSA methodology, and visual control implementation. The program manager acts as a passionate advocate for a cultural change toward lean-thinking throughout the organization. Specifically, the purpose of this position is to execute lean initiatives related to onboarding, formal class facilitation and other learning resources, leadership, provider, and employee development curriculums, performance management, engagement, and succession planning. As a change agent, the program manager should possess robust facilitation skills, be patient, but persistent, have a positive attitude, be approachable and engaging, and have a desire for innovation.
Education – Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Masters degree preferred.
Experience – Thorough knowledge and familiarity with the healthcare system and the clinical practice setting preferred. Demonstrated success in organizational project management required. Demonstrated success in utilization of Lean tools/methodologies is required.
Licensure/Certification – Clinical experience in healthcare preferred. License as appropriate for specialty.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Lean concepts and methodologies and project management skills. EHR implementation experience (Epic or Cerner) a plus. Proven ability to work simultaneously within the bounds of multiple clinical settings. Demonstrated ability to perform in the areas of project planning and implementation, budgeting, financial reporting, customer relationships, interpersonal skills, and computer skills. Ability to communicate both written and orally. Proven ability in planning, organizing and implementing work priorities. Proven ability to work independently. Ability to work with all levels of employees within the health system including senior administrators and medical staff.
