About the Role:
This role will suit a business professional who is driven and detail oriented and thrives in a fast paced environment, with the strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers. This role will coordinate with personnel across all departments to coordinate purchasing of products to maintain inventory to keep up with production goals. Key responsibilities for this role will include processing purchase orders, tracking delivery of goods and reviewing inventory levels via cycle count analysis.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
- Review inventory levels of various products and process Purchase Orders to maintain proper quantities on hand according to established inventory level.
- Process purchase requisitions from various departments into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, and report estimated arrival dates to the purchase requestor
- Build strong relationship with vendors
- Work with warehouse staff to conduct and analyze cycle count results
- Perform end of month counts of production area inventory and make adjustments when necessary
- Maintain stock of office supplies
- Coordination of vendors to maintain sufficient supply
- Communication of any delays or issues with shipments to Supply Chain Manager
- Additional tasks assigned by supervisor
Key Qualifications Include:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Critical thinking and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)
Education (required):
- Associate’s degree in Business or a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
Work Schedule & Travel:
- 40 hours per week, M – F, 8:00am to 5:00 pm at the Mermet facility. A two day per week, remote (work from home) schedule is available based upon business needs.
