GENERAL FUNCTION
To assist customers in the selection of appropriate footwear and apparel by creating a great customer service experience, providing optimum product knowledge, and cultivating a positive brand experience for the customer. Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) in the absence of Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager: performs store opening and closing duties, drives team sales, and coaches Sales Associates.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Warmly and professionally greet every customer as they enter the store location.
2. Provide quality customer service interactions with each and every customer.
3. Provide quality product information to each customer to assist in selection of appropriatefootwear. Ascertain what each customer wants or needs. Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desires. Recommend additional items including footwear, accessories, and care products.
4. Properly record transactions on the POS system. Compute sales price and total purchase. Process inventory and monetary transactions (coupons, vouchers, gift cards, credit cards, checks, and cash).
5. Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding refunds and exchanges, and security practices.
6. Performs store opening and closing duties. Responsible for maintaining keys to store. Opens and closes cash register; reconciles cash at end of day and makes daily deposit to bank.
7. Leads store team by executing management direction, driving sales, and coaching Sales Associates. Communicates employee disciplinary events and ongoing employee performance to Store Management. Liaison for Store Management.
8. Processes daily store paperwork including reporting.
9. Ensure the safety of customers while in the store. Watch for and recognize security risksand thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations. Follow Loss Preventionguidelines and processes. Security conscious, protecting company assets at all times.
10. Respond appropriately to customer incidents by taking care of the customer and notifyingproper authorities (Store Management, Mall Security, and/or police & emergencyresponders).
11. Receives shipments and processes transfers using POS system.
12. Professionally process customer returns and exchanges.
13. Utilize processes available to provide customer with the product they desire, even if it is not in stock in store (contact other stores, online ordering/drop ship).
14. Perform stock, merchandising, organizational and cleaning duties. Clean shelves, counters,and tables. Sweep and mop flooring. Trash inspection and removal.
15. Executes store visual standards. Maintains store in grand opening ready state.
16. Participate in e-mail capture program and other promotional programs. Participate in storecommunity building events.
17. Assist internal and external customers via store telephone and email.
18. Follow all store policies and procedures.
19. Perform duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.
20. Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
•High School diploma or equivalent.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Retail Store Environment- employee is required to stand for entire shift, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and reach to help customers. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds. Fast-paced, ever-changing, customer service oriented environment. May occasionally work alone in store.
