What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Support Specialist position at Merrimack Valley Credit Union?
FUNCTIONAL SUMMARY: Responsible for the daily monitoring and management of MVCU’s core platforms both in-house and hosted. Ensures all tasks and corresponding reports are completed in a timely manner with a specific focus on integration, security and accuracy across Operational, Marketing and Lending systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes system functions including back-ups, uploads, software enhancements and daily reports for MVCU servers. Ensures the system is ready and available for mortgage processing the next business day.
- Actively monitors and administers lending platforms and ensures daily extracts and uploads are performed and accurate. (Including month/year end uploads and reporting).
- Manages the creation, deletion, and update of CU products within both Symitar and Mortgage/Lending systems.
- Manages the creation, scheduling and updating of core reports within, but not limited to, Symitar, FICS, Crystal, Jwaala and OFX systems.
- Maintains and supports E-Status (Mortgage on-line), Vertifi/EASCorp, Mobile/OFX, Jwaala and Bill Pay administrative web portals.
- All IT Department functions as needed.
- Functions as liaison between the Credit Union and Synergent Corporation as well as third party partners and other business associates to maintain a quality business relationship. Implements appropriate quality control measures to troubleshoot and isolate software and hardware problems in a timely manner.
- Interacts with Credit Union staff, Management and Board of Directors to provide assistance including but not limited to the following: Desktops, BOD Laptops, Network problems, Telecom issues or any issues involving automated and communications systems.
- Anticipates and guarantees projects assigned are completed on time. Timely communication of any delays or issues should be communicated proactively to the VP of IT along with any department or outside vendor involved in the project.
- Maintains detailed and accurate system and processes documentation as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge in systems administration/integration including Windows 2012/2016/2019 and Exchange Server required.
- A minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Web Based Applications, Windows 2012/2016/2019.
- A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in administering and monitoring the security of Computer Systems, preferably within a financial institution.
- PC desktop troubleshooting and a strong financial background preferred.
- Demonstrated detail oriented individual with initiative and dependability is required.
- Must be flexible in work schedule.
