What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant position at Mersen USA Holding Corp?
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Duties include activities of the Accounts Receivable function. Calculate and analyze key ratio's dealing with the Accounts Receivable area. Determine customer credit limits utilizing Coface. Analyze cash collections to determine customers to be contacted for overdue invoices.
- Review and balance the bank account transactions daily and reconcile the bank account monthly.
- Balance payroll and record monthly payroll entries and accruals. Balance and maintain various employee withholding accounts.
- Gather, analyze, and correct financial data used in the preparation of the monthly profit and loss statement. Assist in the preparation of the monthly profit and loss statement by making timely journal entries to the general ledger and running monthly allocations. Balance, reconcile and analyze various general ledger accounts and produce various monthly departmental variance reports.
- Responsible for maintaining the fixed assets in sage, calculating monthly depreciation, and projecting future depreciation for budgeting purposes.
- Interacts with internal and external auditors.
KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3-4 years of accounting experience
- Demonstrate strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills.
- Computer proficiency: Word, Excel (Advanced)
