The Quality Technician will provide direct support to multiple product lines. This is a multifunctional position at Mesa that will perform basic quality techniques to analyze and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure a high level of quality across all product lines. This will include interaction with other departments within the facility. The successful candidates must be able to work independently, drive product quality, record observations, and make recommendations for improving processes.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Perform failure analysis on returned product
- Assist with equipment preventative maintenance and calibration activities
- Complete production product and process investigations
- Perform Device History record review and sign calibration certificates
- General Quality control tasks as needed
- Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized, and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
- Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, & Morale) targets through a visual work environment.
- Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
Qualifications/Education:
- 5 years' work experience directly supporting instrument product quality with ISO 13485, ISO 17025 manufacturing requirements OR
- Associates degree in electrical engineering OR
- Bachelor's degree in any science-based field
- Experience performing root cause techniques or failure analysis
- Working understanding of lean manufacturing tools and statistical methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Compensation/Benefits:
The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, $1,500 sign on bonus, annual bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.
Salary Range for this position is $20-28/hr.
