Cafe Specialist

General:

The Cafe Specialist position includes 3 separate roles that all must be filled. The Cafe Specialist would be expected to rotate between any and all of these roles as scheduled or necessary. The Cafe Specialist primarily supports food and beverage preparation with demonstrated dedication to safety, cleanliness, and customer service. The cafe specialist will learn to support other roles within Mesa Top and L.A. Bootery.

Required Qualifications:

• New Mexico Food Handlers Card required prior to beginning work, must have a minimum of 6 months remaining before expiration and must be maintained in active standing throughout employment
• Previous work experience with positive recommendations
• Ability to provide professional and courteous customer service
• Ability to work quickly, accurately, and with minimal supervision
• Ability and desire to foster positive and professional coworker relationships
• Attention to detail
• Dedication to safety and cleanliness

Role 1: Register Clerk

• Receive and input customer orders, handle cash and non-cash transactions
• Instruct customers about product availability and information
• Smoothie preparation and other frozen food service
• Clean and sanitize work area and equipment as necessary
• Assist with other cafe roles as needed
• Assist with business premises cleaning and event preparation
• Other duties as assigned

Role 2: Food Prep

• Prepare customer orders to order specifications
• Become proficient in use of air fryer and blenders
• Clean and sanitize work area and equipment as necessary
• Assist with other cafe roles as needed
• Assist with business premises cleaning and event preparation
• Other duties as assigned

Role 3: Dishwasher

• Clean and sanitize food preparation equipment
• Clean and sanitize work area and equipment as necessary
• Assist with other cafe roles as needed
• Assist with business premises cleaning and event preparation
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
