The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for collaborating with the operations team to plan and schedule preventative and corrective work throughout the company. This individual also needs to leverage metrics to identify trends and improve equipment performance in terms of efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Maintenance Team to define critical spare parts and inventory min/max volumes.
- Train team members on asset tagging and accurate equipment attribute collection approaches/policies.
- Delegation of Maintenance tasks to team members and finding relevant vender / service providers.
- Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.
- Responsible for executing modification work in alignment with Maintenance specifications approved through Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Achieving plant targets for SQDIC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost) for assigned production assets.
- Embedding a culture of operating discipline and quality assurance.
- Monitor use of PPE and other resources: recommend replacements when due.
- Promote a safe work environment and enforce all Company Safety policies; maintain and promote good housekeeping standards. Comply with Federal, State and Local regulations.
- Coordinate the purchasing and receiving of spare parts.
- Ensure tools and machinery are in working order by performing routine inspections.
- Create and maintain repair and inspection reports.
- Generate tracking/closing of work orders.
- Provide recommendations for change to more effective procedures, interdepartmental problem solving and corrective action planning to ensure functional goals are achieved.
- Maintain maintenance quality control and compliance with established safety codes.
- Collect, analyze, and make recommendations based upon interpretation of data being tracked.
- Issue KPI’s, follow and build action plans according to KPIs to improve results on these indictors.
- Perform duties as assigned by management.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance, attend required training as scheduled.
- Work cooperatively with others.
- Other duties may be assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-7 years’ experience in scheduling and planning maintenance for complex systems using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- High school diploma or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in Maintenance.
- Ability to partner with individuals in various managerial roles and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Ability to maintain knowledge of current technology and able to learn new technology.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English fluently.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently with external & internal customers.
- Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic, growing work environment.
- Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills, able to synthesize considerable and complex data.
- Solid, proven organizational, project management and leadership skills.
- Take necessary actions/ initiatives such as reviewing or defining new procedures to increase planning team’s efficiency and improve results.
- Required prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate needed equipment
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
