Position Description
Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide research and administrative assistance to the office of Prospect Research & overall development office as assigned.
Education Required
Associate’s Degree
Education Preferred
Experience Required
1 year of administrative assistant experience providing support in a professional environment
Experience Preferred
1 year of prospect research experience and 2-3 years of administrative assistant experience preferred.

- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as database applications, including Ellucian CRM Advance
- General understanding of development & fundraising, basic business models, event planning, scholarship processes, stewardship activities and expenditures.

Primary Duties
1. Research and complete profiles on prospective donors for the advancement team.
2. Assist in the preparation of detailed and up-to-date research briefings on prospects for development staff in advance of calls and events in order to obtain optimal outcomes.
3. Assist with data input and routine maintenance of (Ellucian CRM Advance) database.
4. Process address changes and other biographical information received from alumni, parents and friends in (Ellucian CRM Advance).
5. Assist with creating reports for various constituencies across campus.
6. Support regional development officers as assigned based upon assessment of staffing support needs and in collaboration with the Director of Prospect Research and Record Compliance.
7. Serve as telephone receptionist for the main (Development) 6019 extension, the 800 line and the University Development Office cluster.
8. Perform administrative duties for the Director of Prospect Research and Record Compliance.
9. Prepare all requisitions and maintain expenditure records for assigned gift officers.
10. Schedule appointments and make travel arrangements for the Director of Prospect Research and Record Compliance.
11. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
