Description
Messner Reeves LLP, a national law firm, is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Electronic Billing Specialist for our Orange County Office.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of law firm billing experience, experience with Pro-Law, and knowledge of electronic billing platforms.
Must be a team player with high attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must possess communication skills both written and verbal. Seeking candidates with a proactive approach and strong organization skills.
The position’s essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Coordinate with the Billing Manager to understand client requirements and guidelines.
- Perform full-cycle billing functions, including prebill and client statements, including emailing client statements.
- Process edits made by attorneys on monthly prebills.
- Review time entries on prebills and request revisions for insufficient entries.
- Maintain client billing cycles using various electronic billing platforms.
- Timely address appeals and works with attorneys and paralegals to obtain necessary explanations and backup.
- Contact clients to resolve any skipped or partial payments.
- Provide reports to the Billing Manager as directed.
- Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the firm.
- Perform other duties and projects requested.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of standard accounting software and electronic billing platforms - Prolaw, TyMetrix360, BillBlast, Elite, Serengeti, Collaborati, LegalX, Counsel Link, Acuity, LSS, and Aderant.
- Ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment.
- An extreme attention to detail.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability.
