Scope of Position:
Performs a wide variety of daily Human Resources tasks, as well as works with employees and management. Responsible for all paperwork relating to Human Resources and employment, perform specific Accounts Payable tasks, assist with other areas of production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Manufacturing Manager on all Union related issues, personnel, and company related activities
- Manage and process company recruitment by processing personnel requisitions, recruiting, interviewing, follow-up, testing and hiring.
- Completes new hire paperwork including I-9 forms and all benefits.
- Process payroll for factory and office personnel on a weekly basis. Record and ensure hours are accurate, update related schedules, track lost time from FMLA/STD, process FMLA and STD paperwork
- Organizes and participates in a variety of special company sponsored programs and activities including wellness events, and other employee programs and functions.
- Completes all new hire and termination paperwork as required
- Process all worker's compensation accident reports, submission to worker's comp company (as practical), process invoicing, and manage claims.
- Complete OSHA filings 300, 300A filings. Post reports as required.
- Maintain employee personnel files with all salary changes, benefit changes, direct deposit changes, etc.
- Manage the union contract by following all processes and procedures as well as updating all related schedules. Maintain the documentation specific to the contract and update all parties with changes, additions, etc.
- Write and maintains the company specific policies/procedures for union and non-union
- Manages Vacation, Sick Leave, and Personal Leave schedules for Union and Non-Union employees.
- Resolve problems, complaints for a wide variety of employment and employee issues
- Maintains positive relationship with union committee, resolves grievances, participates in labor negotiations
- Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested
Position Requirements:
- College Degree preferred
- Ability to use computer software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Ability to prioritize assignments
- Ability to be a problem solver
- Maintain a positive influence in the work environment
- Ability to work independently and use proper protocol
