Overview:
Met-Track is a small company that specializes in the fabrication of workstation crane systems, providing high-quality solutions to various industries. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabrication Supervisor to join our team. The Fabrication Supervisor will oversee the fabrication process, manage the warehouse operations, ensure timely completion of orders, and provide support across various departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication experience, proficient welding skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise Fabrication Process: Direct and oversee the fabrication of workstation crane systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and production schedules.
• Warehouse Management: Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, material handling, and storage optimization.
• Order Fulfillment: Ensure all customer orders are processed accurately and completed on time, coordinating with the production team to meet delivery deadlines.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of fabricated components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards before shipment.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate fabrication team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback as needed.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet production demands and optimize productivity.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks in the fabrication process, implementing corrective actions to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and best practices within the fabrication area, conducting regular safety inspections and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Hands-on Support: Assist with fabrication tasks, including fitting and welding, as needed to meet production goals or fill in for absent team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Proficient welding/fitting skills and knowledge of fabrication techniques and processes.
• Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated experience in managing and motivating teams.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Powder Coating and Crane fabrication is a huge plus.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management practices.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a fabrication environment.
• Willingness to work hands-on and fill in for various tasks as needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training or certification in welding or fabrication preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
