What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chip Lead position at Meta?
Meta is hiring a Chip Lead role within our Infrastructure organization. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a breadth of experience across Architecture, Design, Design Verification, Implementation, FW, and Silicon bring-up of complex SOCs and can lead the development of an accelerator ASIC from architectural definition all the way through production release.

Chip Lead Responsibilities:
- As a Technical Lead, responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams and delivering accelerator SOCs from architecture spec to launching them in our Data Centers
- Define the chip requirements, schedule, and overall development plan from architecture spec to final production ramp
- Bring a customer focussed view point in problem solving and keep the overall program on track as new cross-functional issues are discovered, triaged, and resolved
- Provide leadership across a wide variety of XFN teams and ASIC vendors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12 years of experience with delivery of high complexity silicon from concept to production
- Track record of consistent first-pass silicon success on industry leading ASICs
- Experience and breadth across Architecture, physical design, micro-architecture, Implementation, Power methodologies, FW, and silicon bring-up
- Experience working across multiple projects
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience collaborating with large cross functional teams. Interest for challenging the status quo, and drive others to innovate and adapt
- Experience leading AIML ASICs or complex Network Switch ASICs
- Experience in CPU, NOC, Memory and Peripheral Subsystem Architecture and Design
- Experience with Synthesis, Timing Closure and Formal Verification Methodology
- Experience with Power Analysis and Optimization
