Meta is seeking a Disaster Response Program Manager to handle the company’s external facing response to natural disasters and complex humanitarian emergencies. This is an individual contributor role in which you will provide the central coordination of teams across public policy, product, partnerships and comms to ensure that Meta responds swiftly and effectively to support the needs of our community.
Disaster Response Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Coordination of external disaster and crisis response. Coordinate decision-making and information flows in relation to how Meta supports external humanitarian or front line response organisations through use of our platforms, ads credits and charitable donations.

Programmatic and budget management. Manage our crisis and disaster response budgets, with specific responsibility for budgeting, contracting, procurement, and maintaining the purpose and goals of the budget.

Policy lead for Meta Crisis Product tools. Be the Policy point of contact for Product in relation to Facebook Crisis Hub and Safety check tools, and associated product activations in the event of a humanitarian disaster.

External engagements. Support our public policy and partnerships teams engaging humanitarian or front line response organisations, to explain our approach to disaster management, and facilitate best practice use of Meta’s tools.

On-Call Responsibilities. Undertake 'on-call' shifts for Meta's policy crisis management team (Strategic Response Policy) responsible for managing decision-making processes around on-platform content.
Minimum Qualifications:

Experience managing fast moving and internationally dispersed XFNs/teams.

Experience of managing budgets, and associated financial processes.

Proven experience to communicate clearly and succinctly with Senior Executives, including under time pressure.

Flexibility and adaptability: willing to support other priorities on the team as needed, and be part of a 24/7 response team with associated expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:

5 years experience in disaster, humanitarian or crisis response ideally from Government, Media, Tech or NGO sectors.
