- Build and manage high performing teams, preferably with researchers of different disciplines
- Articulate the vision of the team to design and product leadership and advocate for the role of research in product development
- Communicate and demonstrate the value of user research, and deliver insights that lead to demonstrable business value
- Build strong relationships with other research teams at Facebook to ensure a cohesive and cross-functional vision for Research at Facebook
- Build meaningful cross-functional relationships
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify research topics and generate detailed insights that fuel ideation and evaluates the designs of Facebook's products
- Manage the budget for research projects
- Articulate the vision of the team to design and product leadership and be a strong advocate for the role of research in product development
- Be a data expert and have a strong voice in AR/VR strategy and strategic discussions and have a strong understanding in the relationship between research, design, marketing, and product
- Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Management, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, and 1 year of work experience in job offered or in a research-related occupation. Experience must include 12 months of experience in each of the following:
- Quantitative and qualitative research, and track record of using data to make arguments
- Establishing goals and policies for the team
- Managing several projects simultaneously, from inception to delivery
- Managing multi-million dollar budgets for research projects
- Attracting talent and building a high-performing team of researchers to support research projects and cross-functional stakeholders, including hiring, firing, interviewing, supervision, salary reviews, and evaluations
- User research supporting accessibility
- Translating research into actionable design and product.
