About the Role:
The Director, Program Management will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership of metagenomi's early development programs.Success in this role requires strong drug development experience, excellent communication skills and team leadership in a highly dynamic and rapidly growing organization.As the "COO" of the project team, you will be responsible for driving the development of the program strategy and development plan while ensuring cross functional alignment, in order to successfully advance the program to the next milestone.
Key responsibilities:
•Partner with Project Leaders to manage cross-functional project teams, establish team goals, set strategic directions and operational plans for assigned programs
•Development and ownership of project timelines, budget, risks and communication
•Project management support of key functional areas(preclinical, clinical, regulatory, CMC)
•Alliance management of external development partners and key collaborators
Qualifications:
•Preferred: Experience with clinical development, clinical operations and/or regulatory affairs related program management experience
•BS degree in a scientific field; advanced degree highly desirable.
•8 years experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech field, including 5 years in Program Management or related function
•Track record of leading development programs through preclinical and clinical phases of development
•Strong communication skills and ability to lead and influence team members, peers, subject matter experts, and management
•Command of PM tools to efficiently communicate complex ideas to a wide array of audiences
•Ability to assess development paths and identify key risks and resolve constraints.
•Demonstration of strategic thinking, cross functional as well as detailed functional planning
•Positive energy and ability to foster the qualities of a highly performing team•Experience in cell/gene therapy highly desired
