Job Title: SolidWorks/CAD Technician
SUMMARY
Support the Engineering, Quality, & Production Departments with designs & prints using SolidWorks while growing your experience & knowledge in sheet metal fabrication.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development of CAD models & prints for quoting & production using SolidWorks.
- Maintaining those models & prints in a controlled document system.
- Sound decision making and practical thinking when evaluating solutions.
- Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, models, to ensure technical designs can be made with existing tooling and equipment in the shop.
- Work closely with production to resolve technical production problems.
- Work with numerous CAD systems to convert, unfold and prepare data for manufacturing.
- Work independently with little supervision and delivers excellent results in a timely manner.
- Must rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Other duties as assigned.
- Help in other areas as needed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Intermediate knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, machinery, and performance metrics normally acquired through three or more years of manufacturing and supervisory experience or education.
- Ability to identify issues & work within a team environment to find solutions and implement changes.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Knowledge of JobBoss ERP system is a plus.
- Basic NC programming is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
