Maintenance Technician (Industrial)

Minimum of 3 years experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment required.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

The Maintenance Mechanic reports to and is supervised by the Maintenance Manager. They complete maintenance assignments based on established priorities by the Supervisor. This includes ordering or drawing from stock required parts and tools. Successful completion of a complex assignment may require direction from the Director of Engineering who oversees the Maintenance Manager and Department.

• Performs pump and pipe repair duties involving rebuilding or replacing pump parts and using pipe threading equipment to cut and fit plastic or steel piping.
• Performs servicing and repair or replacement work on pipefittings. Responsible for the plant spill containment pumping. Maintains documentation on pump failures.
• Performs servicing and repair work on air conditioning equipment, refrigerant cooling systems, and D.I. ion exchange units.
• Performs some electrical work as necessary
• Performs functions requiring brazing, soldering, arc welding, gas welding, MIG and TIG welding.
• May be required to build or repair plating racks in accordance with plating operation requirements.
• Completion of assignments may require the use of lathes, mills, saws, pipe threaders and other hand tools.
• Work may be performed from written or verbal instruction and requires the ability to apply schematics, drawings or other information to successfully complete an assignment. Performs fabrication work, as well as proto-type building.
• Provides assistance to Senior Maintenance Mechanic on major projects or assignments that require additional maintenance staff help.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday 1st Shift: 5:30 am–2:00 pm or 6:30am – 3:00pm (Weekend shifts and overtime when necessary)

Hourly Wage Range

• 1st Shift:: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour, depends on experience.
