What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Architect (Mid) position at MetaPhase Consulting?
MetaPhase is seeking a Data Architect (Mid) with 2-5 years of equivalent experience to provide strategic and technical support to the office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO). This role will entail assisting federal senior leadership establish and manage data sources, agency analytical capabilities, and governance. The Data Architect (mid) will be responsible for multiple initiatives designed to encourage the use of data as a strategic asset.
Successful candidates will acquire knowledge of the various operational functions and processes of the organization while working closely with technology partners to determine the best tools to meet objectives. Successful candidates must also work effectively in teams, be creative, well written, and articulate when speaking with senior client leadership.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- 1-3 years of experience in analytics methodologies such as network analytics, NLP, statistics, etc., and programming experience using R, Python, SAS, etc.
- 1-3 years of experience in data system architecture such as data warehouses, data lakes, data visualization, and story-telling (Tableau, Qlik, D3, etc.)
- This position requires the ability to fulfill a Public Trust suitability background investigation; requisite to obtain a National Science Foundation (NSF) security badge; U.S. Citizenship required (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Essential Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to identify valuable data insights
- Translate business requirements into actionable data tasks
- Learn disparate database systems and understand the underlying elements' impact on the business.
- Develop and support the implementation of the agency's advanced analytics capacities in support of data-driven decision-making including governance, education, expert analytic, technical, and communications support
- Provide hands-on support for querying and configuring data sets using industry-standard languages such as R, Python, SAS, etc... Interpret data and analyze results using appropriate methods, techniques, and visualizations, including AI/ML
- Perform multiple data-related tasks such as database management, data acquisition and cleaning, data presentation, data discovery & decision making, and data wrangling
