OBJECTIVE:
The production supervisor position is responsible for supervising shop employees in a manufacturing and assembly environment. This position plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.

- Monitor and maintain a Safe work environment.
- Responsible to assure a Quality Part and service to both internal and external customers.
- Direct, manage and support employees in the following production goals:
- Efficiency
- Indirect labor reduction
- On time delivery
- Reduction in scrap
- Coaching and corrective actions
- Continuous improvement / lean environment
- Reduction and elimination of plant overtime
- Develop the workforce.
- Controlling and reducing downtime and managing controls to prevent down time..
- Establish and drive shift and department goals to meet the organizational goals.
- Maintain a “Visual Management” environment. While continually engaging the work force. Be an active, “on the floor” leader.
- Improve and maintain the department in lean principles and continuous improvement. Also, driving change, and helping develop the Workforce to be lean disciplined.
- Participate / assist / train employees in team activities (Attack Teams, Lean, NPIT, MRB, ZZ, Safety, Kaizen, and ISO).
- Maintain communication from top down and bottom up with organization.
- Maintain trust and integrity with your employees and the organization.
- Maintain and schedule manning needs.
- Review and oversee documentation is timely and accurate.
- Maintain and control training needs for your area of responsibility.
- Assist, audit, maintain, and/or complete ISO, HR, Payroll and Production related procedures / documentation.
- Participate in union / employee and management relations.
- Initiate consistent employee disciplinary actions.
- Direct warehouse and maintenance support in absence of their supervisor.
- Interface with all resource groups.
- Work overtime as needed.
- All other activities that may arise or be requested from upper management.
- Any improvements that support the well-being and advancement of Creative and its employees and the community.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
TRAVEL:
- Semi frequent short distance, and infrequent long distant travel may be required.
- Travel and interaction between MCI facilities may be required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an ISO production environment; and/or demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned essential functions.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and professionalism at all times.
- Experience and demonstrated skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) ERP Systems (IQMS a plus), and accurate data entry.
