About the role

Our customers chose Meter for a simple, seamless network experience. Our Technical Support Engineering team is critical to meeting this expectation. The team is small but growing, and as an early member you will have a large impact in forming the foundation of the Technical Support Engineering team and role.

This is a hybrid role based out of our SF office. 

You will have an impact by

  • Working across our full networking product stack and serving as the subject matter expert for wireless escalations 
  • Reviewing reported issues and collaborating with internal teams to accurately scope the problem
  • Analyzing data and proposing next steps for resolution
  • Developing plans to replicate customer issues in lab for faster resolution
  • Navigating technical and political conversations effectively
  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams to address and remediate issues
  • Contributing to the knowledge base through documentation and training

You might be a good fit if you

  • Have 2-3 years of experience in wireless technologies and products
  • Are proficient in IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax and related protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RADIUS, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, VPN)
  • Are comfortable with troubleshooting complex network systems, security and implementation of routing, switching, firewalls and resolving network issues
  • Have familiarity with wireless troubleshooting tools like Wireshark, Ekahau, and 7signal
  • Have proficiency in customer service and stakeholder management, including the ability to lead and navigate challenging conversations 
  • Have excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Have experience in programming and automation
  • Are open to occasional travel (10-15%)

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows

  • $115,000-$170,000
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the Bay Area. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors such as your skills, qualifications and experience.
