Description
SUMMARY
The Marketing & Communications Manager will assist in the planning and tactical execution of marketing and communications projects as well as support the VP of Marketing & Communications to implement projects such as sales tools, marketing collateral, email campaigns, landing pages, and websites, training materials, press releases, video content, social content, and internal communications.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage marketing project needs and specifications, including initial information gathering, schedule and cost planning, coordination, and reporting.
- Brief the creative team on content needs and production schedules.
- Act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects.
- Route materials for review and approval by stakeholders via an online project management system.
- Work with vendors to establish quotes, production schedules, and delivery of materials.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and project discovery.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of workflow processes.
- Work closely with external vendors.
- Monitor and report project status (time and expenses).
- Ensure best practices and collaboration between employees by sharing internal communication with team counterparts.
- Work closely with the web development team to ensure timely delivery of marketing technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, Adobe Pro DC, Asana, Slack, or similar software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position operates in a professional office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is necessary and may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
POSITION & EXPECTED HOURS
This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. Typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, however, the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and must work 37.5 hours each week.
TRAVEL
Travel is not required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business management, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience required in marketing or related function at an agency or internal marco department
- Insurance industry experience is a plus
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus
- A combination of education and experience may be accepted
