AV Quality Assurance Coordinator

Job Summary:

As the AV Quality Assurance Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of quality and performance in our AV and Broadcast solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to uphold our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement QA Strategies: Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies and processes to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of our AV solutions.
• Team Leadership: Collaborate with and mentor a team of engineers, technicians, and programmers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
• Quality Standards Compliance: Establish and enforce quality standards, best practices, and industry regulations across all stages of AV solution development, from design and testing to deployment and support.
• Test Planning and Execution: Develop test plans, scenarios, and test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of AV systems, both in controlled environments and real-world conditions.
• Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest AV technologies, trends, and innovations, leveraging your technical expertise to drive informed decisions and optimize QA processes.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including AV designers, engineers, project managers, and clients, to align QA objectives with project goals and timelines. Communicate QA findings, risks, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
• Issue Identification and Resolution: Proactively identify, prioritize, and address quality issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks throughout the AV solution lifecycle, leveraging troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of QA processes, test results, and performance metrics. Generate regular reports and dashboards to track QA progress, identify trends, and drive data-driven improvements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience (5 years) in a leadership role in AV quality assurance or related field.
• In-depth knowledge of AV technologies, systems integration, and industry standards (e.g., HDMI, HDBaseT, Dante).
• AVIXA CTS certification; CTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred
• Manufacturer’s training/certification in major brands including Creston, Q-SYS, Extron, Audinate, Ross Video, Cisco, Netgear, d&b audiotechnic.
• Strong understanding of system testing methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• Analytical mindset, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

• Up to 25% travel
