Role Value Proposition:
As a Scrum Lead, you will be responsible for assisting the self-organizing, self-managing team of a complex nature to achieve its goals by implementing, coaching, and supporting the adoption and ongoing sustainment of ART and team practices, identifying, and eliminating impediments and facilitating the flow of the ART and the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute in developing IT strategic roadmap to manage Agile transformation, aligned with the future state of Business and IT Strategy.
- Helps the team(s) embrace Agile values, adopt and apply Agile principles, and implement Agile practices. Facilitate transparency and a continuous learning mindset.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to support short and long-term release planning, while maintaining a healthy team backlog ready for execution.
- Actively manage interdependencies between dependent teams. Anticipate and address or escalate potential or actual impediments to team delivery
- Lead the tracking and reporting on agile team metrics (CFD, Burndown/up, velocity), escalating issues as needed. Ability to report in Waterfall or Agile.
- Thought leader in applying new concepts and coaching approaches to the SM community. Coach teams through the exploration and adoption of agile engineering practice (e.g., test automation, CI/CD, BDD, Agile Architecture).
- Able to adapt coaching style to suit situation, team and staff level. Comfortable knowing when to coach and/or consult.
- Participate in SM Community of Practice.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8 plus years in product development and engineering Agile development and/or project management environment
- Technical PL who understands the solutions, challenges the team on the solutions, estimates and timelines while maintaining the team coherence and delivery in mind.
- 5 plus years in project management/Agile process
- Subject matter expert in Agile Practices
- Extensive experience in the SDLC
- Subject matter expert collaboration and facilitation practices
- Subject matter expert conflict resolution and organization coordination
- Certified Scrum Master
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Subject matter expert in the SDLC

The wage range for this position specific to Colorado is $96,900-$129,200. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the MetLife Annual Variable Incentive Plan ("AVIP").
