Metrics LLC is seeking a mid-level Acquisition Specialist/Technical Writer with at least 5 years of experience in federal acquisitions, contracting, procurement for a large federal agency. Must possess excellent writing and editing skills and be able to turn complex contractual requirements into easily readable text. Experience working with federal clients in an acquisition lifecycle environment preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Business and Financial Operations (BFO) SharePoint site with relevant program documentation, briefings, information and decision papers, and meeting minutes. The site shall maintain appropriate access controls for data and employ version tracking.
- Provide support in the preparation of procurement briefings, PowerPoint presentations, meeting minutes, reports and other materials.
- Assist with creating, updating, monitoring, consolidating, and responding to procurement tasks in the Task Tracker.
- Provide procurement support for planning and executing various procurement actions.
- Participate in working groups for procurement strategies development.
- Assist with creating, updating, and delivering documentation to ensure procurement packages contain all necessary/required documents to meet the government’s requirements while adhering to client's contract package process, Procurement Action Lead Times (PALT) and procurement guidance. This includes but is not limited to:
- Requirements Document (i.e. Statements of Work, Statements of Objective, Performance Work Statements)
- Market Research, including Requests for Information and Industry Days

- Prepare Procurement Requests using the established contract package processes and systems (e.g., Procurement Request Information System Management (PRISM)).
- Assist COR to with responding to inquiries regarding the documentation and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain the BFO SharePoint site with relevant program documentation, briefings, information and decision papers, and meeting minutes.
- Support the preparation of internal control briefings, PowerPoint presentations, meeting minutes, reports and other materials.
- Assist with creating, updating, monitoring, consolidating, and responding to tasks.
- Provide support for the planning and execution of internal controls (IC) functions.
- Assist with creating, updating, and delivering documentation to ensure IC reporting responses contain all necessary/required documents to meet the client’s requirements while adhering to established standard operating procedures.
- Coordinate with the Financial Analyst to ensure all documentation is complete prior to submission.
- Coordinate with the Financial Analyst or designee to assist with responding to inquiries regarding IC documentation, and provide updates as needed.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability - Existing DHS Suitability preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 Years of Experience in a similar field
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite of Products
- Demonstrated experience providing internal controls, acquisition, and program management support to government clients is preferred
- Demonstrated experience using SharePoint to store and manage work products is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills is preferred
- Experience using Federal Financial Management System (FFMS), and the Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS), Procurement Request Information System Management (PRISM), and/or Correspondence Analyst Task Tracker (CATT) preferred
