Job Description
Our Award Winning Client, recognized nationally for its excellence and numerous awards, is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join their team. This position is full-time, onsite, and includes paid relocation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Educating patients about procedures, equipment, and examinations to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Reviewing patient history and physician's orders to tailor the approach for each individual.
- Preparing and administering contrast media and/or medications when ordered, within the scope of practice.
- Continuously monitoring patient conditions, responding to changes as necessary, and reporting updates.
- Setting up equipment and supplies, ensuring everything is ready for procedures.
- Implementing safety standards and conducting quality control procedures on equipment to maintain high standards.
- Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, reporting issues when necessary.
- Positioning patients accurately and performing imaging procedures to capture the best possible results.
- Analyzing imaging results to identify any issues with quality and taking corrective actions, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed.
- Entering, transmitting, and reporting scan results promptly.
- Assisting the Director with hiring new staff, serving as a preceptor for new hires during their training, and providing educational in-services as needed.
- Managing staff schedules, reviewing policies, and handling Dose Watch and Dose Check reporting.
- Overseeing Dose Index Reporting, acting as a superuser, facilitating user access, and benchmarking reports for the RDOP committee.
- Ensuring timely completion and submission of ACR accreditation renewal for CT scanners.
Candidate Profile:
Applicants must have a Kentucky State Radiation Operators License and be registered with the ARRT in CT. A minimum of five years of experience in CT is required. While a Bachelor's degree is preferred, it is not mandatory. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, with excellent troubleshooting skills and a strong commitment to patient care and safety.
