Job Overview:

Our Award Winning Client is seeking a Manager, Quality Control (ASME Manufacturing) to join its Quality Assurance Team. Our client, operating nationally, has earned numerous awards in its industry. This role is part of a team responsible for managing and implementing quality programs and systems, ensuring customers' specific and industry requirements are met or exceeded.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

The Manager, Quality Control reports directly to the Director of Supply Management. Responsibilities include analyzing quality systems to mitigate risk, interpreting third-party quality assessments, and supervising the QA Team.

As the Manager of Quality Control, you will lead the department by communicating company and department goals, setting clear expectations, actively coaching/developing staff, ensuring effective Source Inspection processes, promoting resolution of quality issues with suppliers, and monitoring quality issues for systematic problem resolution. You will supervise the execution of our client's Quality Plan, ensure required certifications are renewed annually, develop new Quality requirements to meet company goals, develop customer relationships, and engage with industry organizations supporting quality efforts. Travel required: 10-15% by car or plane.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST HAVE

• Four-year degree in engineering strongly preferred. In lieu of an engineering degree, a four-year degree in a technical field with relevant work experience may be considered.
• Eight (8) years of experience in quality, ASME Section I or VIII, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, welding, non-destructive testing, or similar fields.
• Three (3) years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• Excellent time management and written and spoken communication skills.
• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to read, write, problem-solve, make quick decisions, interpret data, and analyze results.
