QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
Join our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader, as a Quality Control Inspector. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the highest standards of product quality. Your responsibilities will include performing diverse inspection tasks, measuring, testing, and visually verifying chemicals, textile raw materials, and subassemblies to ensure compliance with specifications. You will also review device history records and associated documentation for lot release. Our client has earned numerous accolades for their dedication to excellence and operates nationally.
Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct independent incoming, in-process, and final inspections of textile raw materials and subassemblies.
- Inspect product labeling and packaging, documenting results.
- Prepare test samples for fiber ID testing of incoming raw materials.
- Operate various test equipment including Thickness Gages, Balance/Scales, and Laser Micrometer.
- Maintain records for receiving inspection and finished product DHR.
- Assist in writing inspection and test procedures.
- Participate in safety and compliance assessments.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in basic math functions, statistics, and significant digits.
- Competence in using various test equipment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft applications and AQL sampling plans.
- Experience in a GMP/ISO or Mil Spec environment preferred.
- ASQ certification is advantageous.
Education/Experience:
- High School Graduate with a minimum of 3 years experience in a production facility or quality control laboratory.
- Experience with textiles is beneficial.
Physical Demands:
- Occasional light physical effort required, including standing, sitting, bending, and occasional lifting.
- Dexterity to handle small items for inspections.
Work Environment:
- May involve some exposure to chemicals used in manufacturing and testing processes.
