The Director of Finance position reports directly to the CEO and has the potential to grow into a CFO position. Position responsibilities include the following:
- Oversees the monthly financial close including account analysis of important accounts.
- Oversight of the revenue cycle including management of the third-party vendor engaged for billing, development of strategies to improve revenue/cash collection results and overall oversight of the company cash flows.
- Oversee staff of related company who supports Accounts payable and payroll.
- Works directly with all departments and staff levels to ensure the production/distribution of timely financial and program reports.
- Analyzes and identifies all trends and produces real-time visual and interactive reports.
- Responsible for the compilation of an annual agency budget.
- Reviews and assembles a monthly reporting package for distribution to management and the Finance Committee monthly
- Provide cash flow forecasts necessary for management planning.
- Directs the production of all external reports.
- Works with outside professionals to file the variety of reports due to external bodies (cost reports, tax returns)
- Coordinate and directs all activity in conjunction with external audits.
- Reviews the accuracy and adequacy of all funding reimbursement.

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Accounting
- CPA/MBA with some public accounting preferred
- Strong technology skills including Excel and knowledge of Oracle software.
- Ability to understand other technology systems needed.
- Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Adheres to the agency’s corporate compliance program, including the code of business contact, the NYS and federal false claims acts, whistleblower protections and mandatory reporting. Completes corporate compliance training at least annually. Fully cooperates in all compliance investigations and reviews.
