What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Social Worker position at Metro EHS Pediatric Therapy?
MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is currently seeking a School Social Worker to join our team of therapists that REVEAL THE SUPER IN EVERY CHILD! We need an experienced SSW to step into a part-time contracted school position. (We also have positions available in our clinics nearby.)
The perfect candidate loves working toward the success of our pediatric clients and collaborating with other disciplines to help each child develop the SUPERHERO inside of them. We believe that each child can be successful in their own way with the help of others that are dedicated to that success. We are seeking a team player that is willing to help each family in a unique way.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved program in Social Work, culminating in the receipt of a Master's or Doctoral Degree
- Posses a valid state license in Social Work as required by the State in which services are rendered
- School credentials
Social work practice consists of the professional application of social work values, principles, and techniques to one or more of the following ends: helping people obtain tangible services; counseling and psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups; helping communities or groups provide or improve social and health services; and participating in legislative processes. The practice of social work requires knowledge of human development and behavior; of social and economic, and cultural institutions; and of the interaction of all of these factors. Social workers within the school setting are expected to meet with individuals requiring services on a regular basis/according to the IEP.
MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is looking for employees to help reveal the SUPER in every child. We have openings now for BTs, SLPs, OTs, PTs, and BCBAs.
