Armed Security Officer

Metro One Loss Prevention Services Group is a rapidly growing company currently hiring Retail Security Officers. We boast a state-of-the-art infrastructure and are in search of qualified Retail Security Officers. As a national company, we operate 27 talent centers and 2 fusion centers, supporting over 500 locations throughout the United States.

Armed Security Officer Responsibilities:

• Patrol premises regularly
• Monitor surveillance systems
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points
• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
• Ensure compliance with company policies, and post orders
• Handle/maintain firearms in a safe, secure manner
• Report daily activities and incidents
• Assist with emergency response and evacuations
• Collaborate with law enforcement when needed

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Hold a valid driver's license
• Have 15 years of Military Service or currently be in the National Guard or Reserves (In a Military Police Specialty) AND/OR:
• Have 5 years of active Law Enforcement experience (e.g., Patrol/Detention/Corrections)
• Possess effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with all personnel levels and the general public
• Hold a valid guard card/license, as required by the state of application
• Some positions might necessitate the completion of a Bike Safety course
• Successfully complete a background check, drug screen in line with federal, state, and local laws, and an MMPI psychological exam as conditions of employment
• Exhibit outstanding customer service and communication abilities
• Have intermediate proficiency in computer skills to operate client-specific, innovative wireless technology
• Manage crisis situations at client sites with calm and efficiency
• Conduct patrols in the exterior areas of assigned locations
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and other anomalies both verbally and in writing
• Adapt to changing environments and situations

Physical Requirements:

• Work in diverse conditions such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
• Lift or carry weights up to 40 pounds occasionally
• Climb stairs or ramps, occasionally during shifts
• Stand, cycle, or walk for extended durations
