Nurse Practitioner
Metro Pain Associates is a growing interventional pain office in Louisville, Kentucky with an immediate need for a full time Nurse Practitioner. We offer a generous benefits package, paid vacation, simple IRA, health insurance (health, dental, vision) and a yearly CME allowance. No on call is required. Our hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Experience in pain management is not a requirement; on the job training will be provided under direct supervision of our physician.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Works in collaboration with a physician in formulating treatment plans.
- Obtaining relevant health histories, performing physical examinations and assessments.
- Continuation and development of patient treatment plans.
- Patient education regarding implanted spinal cord stimulators and implanted Intrathecal pain pump delivery systems.
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to include trigger point injections, nerve blocks and small joint injections within the scope of practice.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Master of Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure in state of Kentucky as an APRN.
- National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
- 4 years with a collaborative agreement under the supervision of a physician.
- Current DEA certificate without restriction.
- CPR, BLS, ACLS current.
