About the role

Our product managers set the vision for our growing family of products. Every day we solve incredibly hard problems to create surprising and delightful experiences for our customers and policyholders. We're responsible for guiding multidisciplinary teams toward a common goal: shipping high quality products and features on time.

As a Principal Growth Product Manager, you will own the vision, roadmap and customer experience for our Partner Service ecosystem. This ecosystem includes our external agent experience in addition to the insurance aggregator experience. Your mission is to enable seamless connectivity between Metromile and our external agents and aggregators. Reporting to the VP of Product Growth, this position will work closely with the teams in insurance, design, engineering, sales and customer service.

You Will

• You will work closely with engineering, product managers, data scientists, designers, actuaries, legal and customer service to build the foundations for the partner service ecosystem.
• Craft a bold product vision, strategy and roadmap for all aspects of the external agents experience and aggregator experience.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to define and prioritize features based on growth forecasts.
• Define a compelling strategy for how we improve our partner ecosystem.
• Drive execution and impact, delivering products through the design, development, and testing process.
• Inspire and drive work across many cross-functional teams in Metromile.
• Create use cases, prioritize feature requirements, and provide clear feature benefits with proper detail for engineering, as well as sales and marketing
• Process, review, and interpret large bodies of qualitative and quantitative data on customer usage patterns to uncover new product insights
• Balance diverse perspectives and empower teams to do great work

About You:

• 8 years professional work experience
• 3 years product experience
• Strong technical skills and experience working with data integrations, APIs, enterprise clients and influencing partners.
• Expertise guiding complex internal and external partner requirements and finding creative solutions to solve challenges with system and process gaps
• Experience shipping consumer-facing mobile products
• Experience working with external partners and technical understanding of integrating with partner APIs
• Possess a technical or product management background
• Very strong execution skills able to take seemingly vague questions and translate them into clear, achievable objectives
• Proven experience and passion for building highly successful and innovative consumer web products
• Deep understanding of user research methodologies and empathy for users
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, data science, business development, marketing)
• Love working with data you possess a proven ability to quantitatively analyze product concepts, strategic opportunities, and competitive threats based on data
• Experience in hypothesis-driven A/B testing to drive product changes
• Self-motivated, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
