Under the direction of the Director, Real Estate & Airline Affairs, the Data Analyst is responsible for collecting data and conducting analysis of data collected and maintained within the Finance and Revenue Development Division. This role will establish procedures for transforming raw data into actionable insights which is intended to drive revenue development and customer experience through informed decision-making across the division.

  • Coordinates data collection and analysis efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze data and performance measures to provide actionable insights and recommendations to increase revenue streams and improve the passenger experience.
  • Understand the business demands and anticipate data needs. Propose analysis and reports to meet the business objectives.
  • Perform data governance activities that include: quality checks on data to ensure accuracy; data category mapping and continued management of standardized authoritative data sets; identify and address data discrepancies and anomalies, validate data integrations to ensure completeness.
  • Partner with and hold accountable tenants and other outside partners to MAC data standards and data-related contractual obligations.
  • Interact with division teams and management staff to provide seamless data analysis and data delivery as needed.
  • Serve as a division resource for data investigation on key performance indicators and other prioritized data driven initiatives.
  • Represent the division, where assigned, for business interests on enterprise-wide data related business process improvements.
  • Identify and develop dashboards and reports to depict operational status against key performance indicators and other data initiatives.
  • Use tools like Power BI, or other visualization tools to build and implement predictive analysis solutions to forecast trends and outcomes; evaluate performance and make adjustments as needed.
  • Create and convey clear and meaningful visualizations, such as charts and graphs, to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, statistics, mathematics or related field.
  • Four years of experience performing quantitative research and analysis
  • In lieu of a degree, eight years of experience performing quantitative research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and presentation communication skills.
  • Advanced skill level using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to format and lay out complex data into clean, clear, and concise reports and graphical presentations.
  • Experience researching and analyzing complex issues and providing actionable recommendations based on analysis.
  • Ability to work independently with limited work direction.
  • Excellent customer service skills with strong troubleshooting, research, and analysis skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information to the end users in an easily understood manner.
  • A valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle to commute between job sites.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, information technology or related field.
  • Understanding of relational databases and experience with querying languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Experience performing analysis for a large commercial environment or hub airport. 
  • Experience in survey and design and fieldwork.
  • Experience in qualitative research.
