MPHD is seeking a program coordinator for the Women Infants and Children (WIC) of Davidson County. This position performs the professional and supervisory duties involved in planning, overseeing, and/or coordinating the vendor management side of the WIC program in Davidson County.

Two (2) years of experience in program administration.
5 years of paid experience in WIC or vendor management work may be substituted for education and program administration requirement.

- Participates in providing program services.
- Interviews and assists vendors seeking to apply to become an authorized WIC vendor.
- Implements and reinforces current State WIC polices and regulations for vendor management.
- Attends Field Staff meetings annually to stay abreast of current and future rules and regulations.
- Oversees vendor audits selected by central office and participates in the State Monitoring meeting.
- Alerts state central office of any non-compliance within our authorized vendors and investigates vendor activities as directed by state vendor management.
- Works with WIC director and other WIC supervisors to establish goals for the program(s).
- Plans and develops programs, services, or classes to meet the needs of the vendors.
- Monitors programs to ensure that proper services are provided.
- Resolves any problems with vendors as necessary.
- Supervises other vendor management employees.
- Processes vendor applications according to procedures.
- Maintains electronic and paper files for all required vendor information.
- Provides Customer Service.
- Compiles production reports for vendors, corporate management, state and WIC leadership.
- Schedules the use of facilities as needed for trainings and classes.
Two (2) years of experience in program administration.
5 years of paid experience in WIC or vendor management work may be substituted for education and program administration requirement.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Ability to analyze statistical data.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to exercise good judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Computer skills required including Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft applications.
- Bilingual.
