Manager/Team Lead

Meyers Market, is a family owned deli and retail establishment known for its commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail management, merchandising, social media and preferably, experience in food handling. This position requires confident leadership skills to effectively lead a team and ensure the smooth operation of our store.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the Meyers Market location, ensuring efficient and effective functioning of all departments.
• Lead and motivate a team of employees, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high levels of performance and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets, profitability goals, and customer service excellence.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and coordinate replenishment to meet customer demand and minimize out-of-stock situations.
• Utilize merchandising techniques to enhance product visibility, promote sales, and create an engaging shopping experience for customers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events to drive traffic and increase sales.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly in regard to food safety and sanitation practices.
• Managing all platforms of social media by developing, implementing and managing up to date and engaging content.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in retail management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and achieving sales targets.
• Strong understanding of merchandising principles and techniques, with the ability to optimize product placement and presentation.
• Preferably, experience in food handling and knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Confidence in leadership abilities, with a proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Develop weekly work schedules for employees, taking into account factors such as staffing requirements, employee availability, peak business hours, and special events or promotions
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business management or related field is a plus.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
