What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Tech / Surgical Tech position at MFS Talent?
- Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
- Work location: Onsite; Eureka, CA
- Compensation: $40 to $45 per hour
- Ensuring all surgical instruments, tools, and equipment are sterilized and ready for the procedure.
- Arranging surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and other necessary equipment according to the specific procedure.
- Helping prepares the patient for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting the incision site, and possibly assisting in positioning the patient on the operating table.
- Providing the surgeon with the necessary tools and instruments during the procedure.
- Ensuring that the sterile field is maintained throughout the procedure to prevent contamination.
- Managing OR equipment such as surgical lights, suction machines, or endoscopic cameras as needed during the surgery.
- Keeping track of surgical instruments and sponges before and after surgery to ensure nothing is left inside the patient.
- Assisting in documentation of the procedure and any post-operative observations.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related experience
- PREFERRED: Pediatrics (minimal), Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics. Daily Average case volume: 30
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
