Registered Nurse - Cath Lab

• Shift: 4 10s, shift variable. Call required, 40hrs/week
  
• Work Location: Onsite; Pleasanton, CA
  

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients scheduled for catheterization procedures.
  
• Obtain and review relevant medical history, allergies, and current medications.
  
• Assess and monitor vital signs and other relevant physiological parameters.
  
• Educate patients about the procedure, addressing their concerns and providing necessary information.
  
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during catheterization and angiography procedures.
  
• Ensure a sterile environment is maintained during procedures to prevent infections.
  
• Monitor and manage potential complications or adverse reactions to medications or contrast agents.
  
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members, including physicians, technologists, and fellow nurses.
  
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding the procedural process and post-procedure care.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited academic institution. (preferred)
  

• RN - Registered Nurse 
  
• BLS - Basic Life Support
  

• Experience utilizing cath lab monitoring system such as XPER required;
  
• At least two years of recent Cath Lab experience required. 
  
• Must have experience in circulating and monitoring in diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases.
  
• Must be comfortable providing care to critically ill patients requiring advanced airway management as well as management of vasoactive drips.  Knowledge of EPIC and XPER also preferred.
