What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Youth Counselor position at MGA?
MGA is currently seeking individuals with counseling, caregiving or paraprofessional skills for full-time counseling positions at our Bricelyn MN residence. Minnesota Girls Academy is a ten-bed resident setting for girls between the ages of 13 and 17 with a history of trauma. At MGA they receive both therapeutic services and learn life skills to assist in future decision-making capabilities.
Our Youth Counselors supervise and interact with the residents on a day to day basis. The focus is on safety and adherence to program rules and expectations along with creating a positive and nurturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications are:
-High School Diploma or GED
-Experience working with children /adolescents desired
-Be at least 21 years of age
-Must have a valid driver’s license
-Compliance with criminal background investigation protocol
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
