Description
Removes unwanted material from precision machined parts using specialized tools. You will be smoothing and cleaning up sharp edges, polishing and blending machined surfaces, and visually inspecting the parts to make sure they meet the required parameters.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Reads blueprints then works to those specifications.
- Inventories supplies and contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
- Checks parts per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.
- Follows all safety procedures and protocols.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Full-time: Monday - Friday from 7am-3:30pm

Requirements
- Must be able to use various hand/air tools.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be able to communicate and interact effectively in English.
- Detail-oriented and dependable
- Works well as a productive member of a team
- Basic shop math and computer skills
- Must have excellent hand-eye coordination and vision (with or without assistance) capable of seeing small objects at close distance.
- Must have manual dexterity in order to handle small parts and hardware.
Physical Demands: Job duties are performed in an open warehouse environment with a wider range of temperature variation than would be expected in an office environment with exposure to noise, vibrations and coolant mist.
- Frequent repetitive motion of wrists, hands, fingers, and feet.
- Prolonged periods of standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, bending, and walking.
- Frequent twisting/turning and reaching (outward and over shoulder).
- Frequent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 20 pounds (Occasionally 21-50 pounds).
- Rarely climbing, reaching over head, and lifting over 50 pounds.
ITAR Requirement: This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines U.S. persons as U.S. Citizens, Lawful permanent residents (i.e., Green Card holders), and some refugees and asylees.
Salary : $18 - $23
