PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Junior Trader will support the Director of Trading and Senior Trader in the risk management, market liabilities, and product support for all of BetMGM sportsbooks. The Junior Trader will be empowered to make business decisions regarding incoming bets and betting lines in a limited number of areas, and receive guidance from the Senior Traders on all over areas. As part of the trading team, the Junior Trader will collaborate with other Traders and the Admin Operators on the successful operation of the department.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Independently monitors and manages odds and content for multiple events while ensuring gaming compliance responsibilities; collaborates with Trading team and receives guidance from Senior Traders when necessary.
Collaborates on monitoring market liabilities and overseeing market forces with the Trading team for all current and upcoming events in the system.
Manages the evolving risk profiles for customers and updates as needed. Recommends enhancements in reporting and/or processes based on analysis of risk profiles and anticipating future needs.
Supports all product initiatives within the BetMGM team; collaborates with Admin Operators, Retail In-Play Trading team, and other Traders to ensure efficient operation.
Compile and trade prices on a variety of markets, utilizing subject matter knowledge and experience.
A GREAT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
One (1) year of prior experience in a resort setting, gaming, sports or other related area.
Proficiency in computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to perform a myriad of duties with extreme care and attention to detail.
Familiarity of BetMGM app and service.
Good knowledge of regulations and policies affecting the betting industry.
