What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of F&B Cashiers - Aria position at MGM Resorts International?

This position will administer all policies and procedures, train staff appropriately, maintains InfoGenesis terminals, issue disciplines in accordance to the policies and procedures and audit Cashiers for variances.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Manage daily operations and departmental performance consistent with the strategies and vision of the property.
  • Responsible for managing F & B Cashiers, ensuring all revenues are accounted for accurately.
  • Monitor staffing levels and ensure effective use of labor while delivering required service. Manage P&L statements.
  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; compliance with company and department policies, and legal requirements. Facilitate new hire/ follow up training for all F&B cashiers.
  • Maintain pars of all equipment and supplies used by F & B cashiers.
  • Maintain the InfoGenesis System, to include documenting all knowledge of how the system works, reporting, and everyday procedures. Program all items and prices in the InfoGenesis system for all F&B dining outlets and bars.
  • Troubleshoot InfoGenesis program and terminal issues; work directly with the Information Technology department to maintain any hardware or configuration issues.
  • Work directly with in Inventory Control Department to maintain any new menu items or changes a food and beverage outlet may have.
  • Work directly with the outlet chefs in the day to day maintenance of their menu.
  • Assists property Finance with related projects/audits
  • Work closely with auditing Satellite Bank for over/short
  • Create, implement, and update department policies; communicate new rules and procedures to the F & B cashiers.
  • Responsible for ordering and delivering cashier supplies to outlets.
  • Audit and research cashiers paperwork; document all incidents and administers corrective action, including discipline and coaching, as needed. Notify leadership of prevalent, on-going issues/concerns and create/implement solutions and procedural changes to address/correct issues.
  • Communicate with outlet manager and co-workers, as well as all customers.

SUPERVISION:

  • F & B Assistant Managers & Supervisors
  • F & B Cashiers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least two (2) years of prior relevant experience in Food & Beverage and/or Retail that involves leading/managing a team and applicable POS systems
  • Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Gaming license as required by applicable jurisdiction(s)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of InfoGenesis Point of Sale (POS)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
